At a time when more and more platforms are competing for information attention, it is of vital importance to learn to navigate this complex landscape in order to drive the change that is needed to meet the sustainable development goals. Successful information and communication strategies require careful planning ahead and “on time” measurement. Once communication activities have commenced and ended it can often be too late to measure.
Purpose
To gain new insights that can contribute to increased success in developing, measuring and evaluating information and communication efforts.
Learning Objectives
After active participation in the course, you will be able to:
- Identify tools to measure and evaluate results of information and communication efforts
- Use suitable tools to improve a planned or ongoing communication activity in your organisation.
Target Group
The course is primarily aimed at Communication Officers, Social Media Managers, Event Managers and Journalists etc, working with information and communication in Swedish development cooperation.
The training is not targeted at private individuals.
If you are working for a non-Swedish organisation you need to be recommended by your Swedish partner organisation or your Sida contact.
Application
Application will open in February.
We encourage more than one applicant per organisation, as this increases the probability that what you have learned during the course will have impact on your organisation. You may also want to consider attending the course together with your international partners. We reserve the right to select participants with regards to group composition
Participants are advised to attend the full course and adjust other commitments accordingly.
Venue
The course will take place online through a digital platform. All participants need to have access to a personal computer with a strong internet connection (you should be able to stream video). We recommend using headphones rather than the computer audio, to reduce looping of sound in the mic, background noise and to generally improve the learning experience for all participants.
